Sezon 2012 w World Touring Car Championship – dziewiąta edycja serii wyścigowej World Touring Car Championship. Sezon rozpoczął się 11 marca na Monzy, a zakończył się 18 listopada na torze ulicznym w Makau, po rozegraniu 12 rund składających się z 24 wyścigów. Od tego sezonu pięciu najszybszych kierowców w kwalifikacjach otrzymuje punkty według klucza 5-4-3-2-1. Po sześciu latach przerwy do rywalizacji powrócił Ford, wycofało się natomiast Volvo mimo zapowiedzi z września 2010 o wystawieniu w sezonie 2012 dwóch samochodów. Tytuł mistrzowski wśród kierowców zdobył po raz pierwszy Robert Huff, natomiast wśród producentów mistrzostwo trzeci raz z rzędu, już podczas weekendu w Japonii, przypadło Chevroletowi. Trofeum Yokohamy dla kierowców niezależnych wygrał Norbert Michelisz, a dla zespołów niezależnych Lukoil Racing Team.
