From earlier *-da with possible influence of word *godъ. Compare Lithuanian kas (“who, what”), kada (“when”), Sanskrit क (ka, “who”), कदा (kadā, “when”).

    *jь (“he”) → *jeda → *jegъda (“when, if”)

    *ovъ → *ovogъda
    *sь (“this”) → *segъda (“now”)
    *tъ (“that”) → *togъda (“then”)
    *vьśь (“all”) → *vьśegъda (“always, anytime”)
