Występował w big-bandach znanych artystów, m.in. Artie Shawa, Tony Pastora, Jimmy Dorseya i Lucky Millindera. Wieloletni członek grupy Roomful of Blues.
W 1996 wydał swój jedyny album solowy Rhythm and Bones.
