W dniu 1 stycznia 2019 roku z połączenia dwóch ówczesnych gmin – Faverolles-en-Berry oraz Villentrois – powstała nowa gmina Villentrois-Faverolles-en-Berry. Siedzibą gminy została miejscowość Villentrois.
