W dniu 1 stycznia 2019 roku z połączenia dwóch ówczesnych gmin – Le Poiré-sur-Velluire oraz Velluire – powstała nowa gmina Les Velluire-sur-Vendée. Siedzibą gminy została miejscowość Velluire.
