Systematyka
Etymologia
- Staurois: gr. σταυρος stauros „pal, krzyż”.
- Simomantis: gr. σιμος simos „zadarty nos, płaskonosy”; μαντις mantis, μαντεως manteōs „żaba drzewna”. Gatunek typowy: Ixalus latopalmatus Boulenger, 1887.
