Zespół na albumie połączył popowe melodie rodem z albumów Beach Boys ze „ścianą dźwięku” The Velvet Underground — „stworzył ruch nie mając takiego zamiaru”. Gatunek, w którym poruszała się grupa, noise pop, miał istotny wpływ na scenę shoegaze.
