Pozycja w klasyfikacji według Index Fungorum: Incertae sedis, Agaricales, Agaricomycetidae, Agaricomycetes, Agaricomycotina, Basidiomycota, Fungi.
Polską nazwę podał Władysław Wojewoda w 1999 r. W polskim piśmiennictwie mykologicznym rodzaj ten opisywany był też jako bedłka lub boczniak.
