Muton (genetyka)

Muton – najmniejsza część chromosomu, której zmiana powoduje mutację. Definicja mutonu pierwszy raz została użyta przez Seymour'a Benzer w 1955 roku, w wyniku prac prowadzonych związanych z mapowaniem bakteriofagów.
