Systematyka

Etymologia

Eremiophilus: gr. ερημια erēmia „pustynia”; φιλος philos „miłośnik”, od φιλεω phileō „kochać”. Gatunek typowy: Cystignathus senegalensis A.M.C. Duméril & Bibron, 1841. Nazwa stłumiona przez ICZN w celu zachowania nazwy Kassina.
Kassina (Cassina): John Cassin (1813–1869), amerykański ornitolog, litograf, współwłaściciel Bowen & Co., firmy litograficznej w Filadelfii. Ta nazwa ma pierwszeństwo przed Hylambates A.M.C. Duméril, 1853.
Hylambates: rodzaj Hyla Laurenti, 1768; gr. αμβατης ambatēs „iść w górę”. Gatunek typowy: Hylambates maculatus A.M.C. Duméril, 1853.
Cassiniopsis: rodzaj Cassina Cope, 1864; gr. οψις opsis „wygląd”. Gatunek typowy: Cassiniopsis kuvangensis Monard, 1937.
