Habia – rodzaj ptaków z rodziny kardynałów (Cardinalidae).
Występowanie
Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Meksyku, Ameryce Centralnej i Południowej.
Morfologia
Długość ciała 16–20 cm, masa ciała 22,5–48,9 g.
Systematyka
Etymologia
- Habia: rodzima nazwa Habia oznaczająca w języku guarani różne gatunki zięb i tanagr.
- Chlorothraupis: gr. χλωρος khlōros ‘zielony’; θραυπις thraupis ‘nieznany mały ptak’, być może jakaś zięba. W ornitologii thraupis oznacza ptaka z rodziny tanagrowatych. Gatunek typowy: Phoenicothraupis carmioli Lawrence, 1868.
