Chiromantis – rodzaj płazów bezogonowych z podrodziny Rhacophorinae w rodzinie nogolotkowatych (Rhacophoridae).
Zasięg występowania
Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w tropikalnych regionach Afryki na południe od Sahary; w Azji Południowo-Wschodniej (północno-wschodnie Indie, Nepal, Bangladesz, Mjanma, Tajlandia, Wietnam, Kambodża, Laos i Chińska Republika Ludowa) na południe do półwyspowej części Malezji i stanu Sabah na Borneo.
Systematyka
Etymologia
- Chiromantis: gr. χειρ kheir, χειρος kheiros „dłoń”; μαντις mantis, μαντεως manteōs „żaba drzewna”.
- Chirixalus: gr. χειρ kheir, χειρος kheiros „dłoń”; ιξαλος ixalos „skaczący, zwinny”. Gatunek typowy: Chirixalus doriae Boulenger, 1893.
