Zasięg występowania

Podrodzina obejmuje gatunki występujące na pacyficznych nizinach w Kolumbii i Ekwadorze oraz na północ i zachód Ameryki Centralnej do Nikaragui; w regionie Gujana i Amazonii (Brazylia, Boliwia, Peru, Ekwador, Kolumbia, Wenezuela, Gujana, Surinam i Gujana Francuska); również na Martynice.
