1. Marks the accusative case in the regular and hidden-n declensions:
   1. After a front vowel stem ending in a consonant.

      ‎дээл (deel, “deel”) + ‎-ийг (-iig) → ‎дээлийг (deeliig)

      ‎өчигдөр (öčigdör, “yesterday”) + ‎-ийг (-iig) → ‎өчигдрийг (öčigdriig)

   2. After a front vowel stem ending in a consonant followed by a short vowel (which is supplanted).

      ‎үнэ (üne, “price”) + ‎-ийг (-iig) → ‎үнийг (üniig)

      ‎хөрөнгө (xöröngö, “asset”) + ‎-ийг (-iig) → ‎хөрөнгийг (xöröngiig)

   3. After a front vowel stem ending in an iotated vowel.

      ‎бие (bije, “physique”) + ‎-ийг (-iig) → ‎биеийг (bijeiig)

   4. After a front or back vowel stem ending in ь (ʹ) or и (i) (which is supplanted).

      ‎толь (tolʹ, “mirror”) + ‎-ийг (-iig) → ‎толийг (toliig)
