現在

"the present; now"

Originally a Buddhist calque of Sanskrit प्रत्युत्पन्न (pratyutpanna, “present; existing at the present moment”, past participle), from प्रति (prati, “upon; near; toward”) + उत्पन्न (utpanna, “occurred; arisen; mentioned”), from the verb root पद् (pad, “to go”).

現在
