Mǔ yě tiān zhǐ, bù liàng rén zhǐ. [Pinyin]

O mother, o Heaven, why will you not understand me?

天只

   • 國中之人若亡天只悲慟甚於后崩之日。 [Korean Literary Sinitic, trad.]

     As if they had lost their mother, the great sorrow of the people of the country exceeded the day when the queen had passed away.

     After the morning meal, I said my farewells to Mother. Then she instructed me: "Go well; fully cleanse [the country of this] national humiliation."

     [Her mother] gave birth to the queen in the western parts of the capital [Seoul], in a private residence at Bansongbang. Prior to this, her mother had dreamed of the sun and the moon rising from her two shoulders.
