Etymology
Probably from Proto-Indo-European *gʷh₂-ti-, from *gʷeh₂- (“to come, step”), whence կամ (kam). Compare also Proto-Indo-European *gʷémtis.

- զկայ առնուլ ― zkay aṙnul ― to stop, to pause, to halt, to rest, to cease
- կալ յուղիղ կայի ― kal yułił kayi ― to remain in uprightness
- ոչ լինիցի կայ թաթից ոտից քոյ ― očʻ linicʻi kay tʻatʻicʻ oticʻ kʻoy ― neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest
- կա՛ց ի կայի քում ― kácʻ i kayi kʻum ― stand upright!
