Seria GP3 – sezon 2016 – siódmy sezon w historii serii GP3. Sezon rozpoczął się 14 maja na hiszpańskim torze Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a zakończył 27 listopada na Yas Marina Circuit w Abu Zabi. Tytuł w klasyfikacji kierowców zdobył Monakijczyk Charles Leclerc, a wśród zespołów najlepsza była francuska ekipa ART Grand Prix.

Regulamin

Ze względu na mniejszą stawkę zespołów, ekipy dostały możliwość wystawienia czwartego samochodu, jednak tylko trzy najlepsze wyniki w każdym wyścigu były uwzględniane do klasyfikacji zespołów.

Kalendarz wyścigów

Kalendarz serii GP3 na sezon 2016 został potwierdzony 4 marca 2016 roku. Składa się z dziewięciu rund, towarzysząc Formule 1 w Europie, w Malezji oraz w Abu Zabi. Z kalendarza wypadła runda w Bahrajnie oraz runda w Rosji. Po raz pierwszy w historii zostanie rozegrana runda w Malezji.
