Zasięg występowania

P. harveyi występuje we wschodnim Pacyfiku; znany jest tylko z Zatoki Kalifornijskiej.

Etymologia

Nazwa rodzajowa: gr. φθανο phthano „przybyć pierwszy”; φανερός phaneros „widoczny”. Epitet gatunkowy: E. Newton Harvey (1887–1959), amerykański zoolog.
